Princess Beatrice embraced understated elegance for an art exhibition in London on Monday. The British royal family member fashioned a whimsical midi dress at the presentation of French-born, Los Angeles-based artist Mr. Brainwash by Clarendon Fine Art and Jack Barclay Bentley at Jack Barclay Bentley.

For the occasion, Princess Beatrice chose a printed midi dress in ecru/mauve chalk courtesy of French fashion retailer The Kooples. The long-sleeve dress featured an ornate print in shades of gray and white. The midi dress included a flowing skirt and semi-sheer sleeves.

The final details of the dress included a high neckline and slight fabric ruching at the subtly cinched waist. Given the intricate pattern of the dress, Princess Beatrice opted to complete her look with a pair of beige leather pumps by Kurt Geiger.

During the event, Princess Beatrice previewed various pieces of art and posed for photos alongside Mr. Brainwash, born Thierry Guetta. Art pieces included various framed paintings with street-style flair.

Princess Beatrice’s latest ensemble serves as an ideal example of the qualities the royal’s approach to fashion possesses. The granddaughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II often gravitates toward prints and whimsical styles, as evidenced by her recent showing at 2024 Royal Ascot .

The royal was among several guests who fashioned florals during the annual event. Princess Beatrice wore a linen and silk dress with Hibiscus floral detailing by Zimmermann. She coordinated with a floral pink hat by Juliette Millinery as well.

Princess Beatrice’s approach to style over the last several years consistently demonstrates a proclivity for patterns and appreciation for whimsy and ornate designs. The royal often stands out at events like Buckingham Palace’s garden parties and other nonroyal events, embracing elegant silhouettes without sacrificing her own personal touch.
