Governor Dan McKee has offered his congratulations on model Oliva Culpo and football player Christian McCaffrey's recent wedding.

For the occasion, McKee posted a throwback clip that Culpo posted on TikTok last year when she announced the wedding would be in Rhode Island. In the video, she heaped the kind of praise on her home state that tourism officials dream of.

Who came to Olivia Culpo's wedding:A lot of NFL athletes

"I have to say, there is a lot of pride from our little state," she said in the video. "This is the smallest state in the country ... some people think Rhode Island is an island or some people think it's part of New York. It's the best state in the entire world, and I'm getting married here."

The governor's tweet made a checklist of her comments, ending with "No notes, @oliviaculpo! Congrats to you and @CMC_22 (Christian McCaffrey) on your Rhode Island wedding."

Culpo, best known as former Miss Universe 2012, returned to her home state for her nuptials June 29 in Watch Hill.

Her wedding was covered in an exclusive by Vogue Magazine. She also stared alongside her sisters in 2022 in a one season run TLC reality show, The Culpo Sisters. McCaffrey is a running back for the San Francisco 49ers.
