Heather Rae El Moussa’s Newest Collection of Photos Show Toddlers Are Not Always Down for the Snuggles

Heather Rae El Moussa just posted the loveliest caption on Instagram with a hilarious set of photos. Because no matter how sentimental moms want to be, toddlers are not always on the same page. And they’re not always down for snuggles.

“Growing together, learning together,” the HGTV star captioned her post . “Baby love you make me strive to be better daily. 🤍”

How stinkin’ cute is that message? She posted it alongside three photos of her with her 1-year-old son Tristan who she shares with husband Tarek El Moussa along with stepkids Taylor and Brayden whom he shares with ex-wife Christina Hall. In the first two, Tristan is trying to wriggle out of his mom’s grasp, apparently already entering the years when he’s too cool to cuddle with his mom. In the third, he gives in to having his photo taken with her, but he’s mean mugging whoever is behind the camera.

Even if Tristan wasn’t about this impromptu photoshoot, followers loved the pictures:

In May, El Moussa was quick to clap back at haters who had way too much time on their hands and way too many mean things to say. The Instagram video began with screenshots of hateful comments from mom shamers calling the Selling Sunset star “trashy,” “pathetic,” “annoying,” and more.

And so we have to insert a quick little PSA to remind people that if they don’t like El Moussa’s content, they don’t have to follow her …

Anyway! After showing the mean comments, El Moussa cut to a cozy scene at home where she’s bouncing Tristan on her hip while cooking soup on the stove.

“Imagine hating on me and I’m just at home like …” she wrote over the video. Imagine .

“Unbothered 💁🏼‍♀️,” she then wrote in the caption. “Social media can be a double-edged sword; while it offers connectivity and community, it also presents a platform for comparison and negativity … I hope you guys don’t have to deal with this, but if you have I’m sending you all the love.💌”

Around the same time, Heather Rae got candid about her marriage to Tarek and how baby Tristan has made things “even harder.”

“We definitely had to go through some adjustments,” she told Today. ” … Suddenly all of my time was going into our baby, but you have to remember to still be a wife … I think marriage is hard in general, right? And then you add kids into it and that makes it even harder.”

And then you add babies who no longer want to cuddle and mom shamers to the mix?! That takes things to a whole other level.
