Ozzy Osbourne and Billy Morrison have hit No. 1 at rock radio with their collaborative track “Crack Cocaine.”

The song hails from Morrison’s new solo album, The Morrison Project , which features the longtime Billy Idol axeman collaborating with various singers. The track also features guest playing from fellow Idol guitarist Steve Stevens.

The Ozzy collab has proven to be a huge success, jumping to the top spot on Mediabase ’s US Active Rock Songs chart, edging Pearl Jam’s “Wreckage” and previous No. 1 song “If It Doesn’t Hurt” by Nothing More.

“I’m just hugely grateful to every person on The Morrison Project team for pushing this track to the Active Rock number one spot,” enthused Morrison in a press release. “Both the song and the album have been so well-received — I couldn’t have asked for more. It’s a testament to passion and an honest love for making music as well as having a strong independent team.”

While the song title “Crack Cocaine” certainly has some shock value considering Ozzy’s past, the title is actually a reference to “being in love with a chick,” in the singer’s own words. The surging hard rocker is one of the strongest tracks Ozzy has sang on in years, recalling the sound of his old solo albums with Zakk Wylde.

“I’m overjoyed that ‘Crack Cocaine’ is number one at rock radio,” said Osbourne in the press release. “And, of course, I’m even happier for my friend Billy Morrison.”

Ozzy and Morrison’s enduring friendship has also culminated with the two launching a new internet show titled The Madhouse Chronicles . The show sees the two musicians discussing various topics like “aliens, drugs, conspiracies, and rock and roll.”
