    Cass County Supervisors Approve ARPA Funds for Vision Atlantic Childcare Facility and Courthouse Closure During RAGBRAI

    (Cass Co) The Cass County Board of Supervisors officially approved a resolution allocating ARPA funds to the Vision Atlantic, LLC Childcare Facility in the amount of $150,000.

    Vision Atlantic plans to construct an $11.5 million new childcare facility that will serve up to 300 children. The center will sit near 18th and Olive Street, adjacent to the new Camblin Hills Housing Development.

    Supervisor Wendy Richter said she received a few questions asking if Vision Atlantic does not get all of the funds needed for this project, then what happens to the ARPA funding? Auditor Kathy Somers explained…

    In other news, the Supervisors noted that they will need to begin discussions on what to do with the Compensation Board. Board Chair Steve Baier…

    And, the Supervisors approved closing the Courthouse to the public beginning at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22nd due to RAGBRAI. The courthouse will be back open to the public regular hours on Tuesday, July 23rd.
