Bedford County Economic Development to launch a Childcare Facilities Grant

BEDFORD, Va (WFXR) – The Bedford County Economic Development has launched a new incentive fund program for childcare providers.

The grant aims to improve the shortage of childcare facilities in Bedford County. The grant does not apply to childcare providers in the Town of Bedford as they have their own childcare grant program.

The grant totals $30,000 and must be used for equipment purchases such as cribs and books, infrastructure improvements such as facility modifications, or training expenses so long as it relates to the creation or expansion of a childcare facility.

To apply for this grant, you must be a licensed provider/program in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or the applicant must achieve licensure status by applying for it. The application opens on July 1 ^st until July 31 ^st , 2024.
