Drew McIntyre’s shot at CM Punk after Money in the Bank qualifer: ‘I’m the real best in the world’

It’s an all-out blood feud at this point between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk. The rivalry has reached new heights as of late and there’s a solid chance it heightens that much more at some point during the men’s ladder match at Money in the Bank on July 6, given the fact McIntyre secured the final spot with a victory on WWE RAW on Monday.

After the victory in the qualifier over Sheamus and Ilja Dragunov, he couldn’t help but to take more shots at Punk, who has been eerily silent since being hauled off to a Chicago hospital two weeks ago.

“In that ring, on the microphone, and looking like a damn superstar the whole time — the real best in the world,” McIntyre said, intentionally flashing Punk’s beloved bracelet, that he stole during the Chicago Beatdown, while delivering the message to the camera.

What began as McIntyre railing against WWE and fans for allowing Punk to return to the promotion, after a decade of copping a squat over it, has mushroomed into Punk costing McIntyre the WWE Heavyweight Championship on two occasions now, followed by McIntyre pretending to quit only to surprise Punk in Chicago — beating him bloody and dropping his unconscious body off in front of his hometown fans and leaving him for the medics.

CM PUNK MAKES PROMISE ABOUT DREW MCINTYRE.

The Scottish warrior desperately needs to get his hands on the briefcase in Toronto to allow for another shot at regaining the belt from Damian Priest (who, ironically, used the briefcase to take the belt from McIntyre in the first place), and that sets the stage for Punk to do whatever he can to fulfill his recent promise that McIntyre “will never be a champion here, as long as I live”.

All eyes are on Toronto this coming Saturday.
