Darius Rucker joins Rob + Holly this Friday following the Spring release of his song with Jennifer Nettles , “Never Seen Over.”

The tune first-appeared on Rucker’s most-recent album, Carolyn’s Boy , before he gave it the duet treatment adding Sugarland ’s Jennifer Nettles . Penned by Rucker alongside Lee Thomas Miller and Brothers Osborne ’s John Osborne , the song has been referred to as an “emotional cornerstone” of the album and compared to his chart-topping hit, “It Won’t Be Like This For Long,” as the opposite perspective.

“Writing that was very cathartic,” Rucker shared of the song. “It was almost like therapy for me. It’s so honest and one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. Now, to have Jennifer add her incredible voice to such an emotional song, you feel even more of what this couple is facing; unravelling the life they’ve built together. I’m so grateful she agreed to sing on it with me.”
