Shantel VanSanten, Victor Webster finalize divorce with $10K per day late fee in wild pet custody deal

Shantel VanSanten and Victor Webster have finalized their divorce – and included a specific custody arrangement just for their pets.

The two agreed to let Webster have custody of their shared dog, Nova, while VanSanten can temporarily take her for up to three weeks at a time, according to court documents filed on Monday and obtained by Page Six.

However, when VanSanten does have the precious pooch, she must send Webster –– who frequently posts about taking Nova with him everywhere –– updates about the rescue dog’s whereabouts.

However, the court documents state that if VanSanten has Nova for longer than three weeks, she’s required to pay her ex-husband $10,000 per day for each day the dog is not returned to him. She also has to cough up the money if she returns Nova 72 hours after the scheduled date of return with no communication.

In addition to Nova – who served as a ring bearer in one of the former couple’s three weddings – VanSanten and Webster also shared two cats, Finnegan and Phillippa. The felines are now in the custody of Webster’s brother Vince, and VanSanten has to pay an annual fee of $1,500 to her former brother-in-law.

The divorce documents also reveal that VanSanten, 38, and Webster, 51, sold their shared Los Angeles home in May 2023 and each received half of the profit. VanSanten will chip in an extra $25,000 to “equalize” the separation, but neither she nor Webster will be paying spousal support.

The “Days of Our Lives” alum filed for divorce from the “FBI: Most Wanted” actress in April 2023 after one year of marriage.

A few months later, VanSanten also requested the dissolution and listed the date of separation as Jan. 10, 2023. Neither VanSanten nor Webster have gone into detail over what led to their split.

The estranged couple, who met while filming the Hallmark Channel movie “Love Blossoms” in 2016, got engaged in February 2021.

Later that same year, they tied the knot in three separate ceremonies. They wed for the first time at a city hall in Pasadena, Calif., after VanSanten’s grandfather unexpectedly died in August 2021.

“Although it was not planned, it ended up being the most beautiful day. We didn’t overthink it — just went with our hearts wide open. It was beyond memorable,” the actress told Brides in July 2022.

They continued the celebrations by marrying at a winery in Napa, Calif., in October 2021 and rounded out the nuptials with a third reception in her hometown of Luverne, Minn.
