CARROLL COUNTY, Miss. ( WJTV ) – A $21,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest in a Mississippi homicide case.

Carroll County deputies said Kenneth “Kim” Daves was found deceased at the K&M Grocery store on July 29, 2015. His family owned and operated the store in Black Hawk.

Over the years, investigators said many leads have developed, but they need someone to come forward to help close the case.

Carroll County Sheriff Clint Walker addressed the supervisors at their regular Board of Supervisors meeting on Tuesday, July 2, 2024, and asked them to approve a $10,000 reward to be paid for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those responsible for Daves’ murder.

“Kim was murdered a few days before my first election to office. Over the years, I have worked to develop leads and even had other outside investigators look at this case. This family has waited for justice a long time. As we approach the nine-year anniversary, I am asking the board to raise the reward and revive efforts to close this case. Somebody knows who is responsible for this murder. Somebody either has first-hand knowledge, or they have good information about it. Any information is appreciated. If you know something, we need to know it,” Walker said.

The supervisors approved to offer a reward of $10,000 to go along with the $11,000 being offered by Daves’ family.

Anyone with information about the case can contact Walker at 662-310-7233 or the Sheriff’s Office at 662-237-9283.
