Go! Go! Loser Ranger! Season 2 is Coming in 2025

Go! Go! Loser Ranger!, the hit shonen anime series produced by Yostar Pictures and distributed outside of Japan by Disney, wrapped up its twelfth and so far final episode, bringing the first season to an end. Shortly after the release of the season finale, it was thankfully confirmed that Footsoldier D’s journey is far from over.

Kodansha and Yostar Pictures announced on Sunday following the season finale of Go Go Loser Ranger that the series will return for a second season. Season 2 of the series won’t air until 2025, so fans are in for a bit of a wait, but given the manga is still running it’s probably a good thing that we’re going slowly — nobody likes a filler arc.

Go Go Loser Ranger tells the story of a footsoldier called D who’s part of a villainous army that attempted to invade Earth 13 years ago. They were defeated very quickly by the Divine Dragon Rangers, a group of Power Rangers-like heroes, but to keep up the charade and give hope to the people of Tokyo, the Dragon Rangers forced the evil army to continue to fight in fake battles every weekend.

Sick of being slammed into the ground every week, D decides it’s time to rebel, and infiltrates the Dragon Rangers to help take them in from the inside. It’s a great premise, and it’s executed very well, with plenty of action, comedy, and lovely character work.

We reviewed Go Go Loser Ranger back when it first started airing in April, and found it to be absolutely fantastic, so we’re very keen for the second season.

While it hasn’t been confirmed yet, it’s expected that, like the first season, the second season of Go Go Loser Ranger will be shown on Disney platforms, including Hulu in the US and Disney+ everywhere else in the world, which makes sense, given it’s one of the best anime on Disney Plus and Hulu .
