Maine Coon Cat's Attempt to Get Kitty Sibling to Cuddle Him Is Too Precious

Cats are some of the most confusing animals on the planet. They either want to cuddle or they want to fight, there's no in between, and sometimes it's literally the same cat. When they pair up, things get even more confusing!

On Tuesday, July 2nd, one Maine Coon was just desperate for his brother to cuddle with him. It seems like he even tried his best to slink down to his level of the cat tree, but unfortunately, no cuddles yet. His efforts are too cute, though:

Listen, if Meatball the Maine Coon needs a cuddle buddy, I'm volunteering. Tarkus who?

Meatball was a birthday gift for his mom, Eve, and he's just the gift that keeps on giving. Between the biscuits he makes and his affinity for FaceTime calls with his twin brother, Spaghetti, who lives with Eve's sister in a different state, Meatball never stops being hilarious. He's also recently gotten neutered, and he handled it like a champ!

Unfortunately for Meatball, his brother Tarkus is not as snuggly as he is, at least where other cats are concerned. He prefers to mind his business, and he probably wishes Meatball would mind his, too - to no avail. If there's one thing Meatball loves, it's being the nosiest Nelly in town.

Maine Coon Cats are Incredibly Affectionate

Most cats are affectionate to some degree, but Maine Coons are on another level. They're often described by their humans as the most "dog-like" of all cat breeds: they love to snuggle, play fetch, and many of them can even learn to walk on leashes with no issue!

Maine Coons tend to have a higher tolerance for being annoyed than most other cats, which is what makes them a great choice for people who have kids or really annoying dogs. Unfortunately for their other kitty siblings, though, that often makes them a little overbearing.

To combat a Maine Coon's love for affection , you should have a designated space your cats can go when they want to be left alone. You can crate train them or give them a cat tower that only has space for one cat per perch; Meatball can't get to Tarkus in this video because there's nowhere for him to go. "If I fits, I sits," only gets you so far!

Cats are pretty good about getting away from everyone when they need space. Unfortunately, it seems like Tarkus might be a little too good at getting away from Meatball. Get back over there!
