The Atlanta Braves finished 46-36 during the first half of the 2024 season. The team survived season-ending injuries to their best pitcher in Spencer Strider and NL MVP Ronald Acuna Jr. The club also has waivered wildly on offense but the starting staff has carried them to continue to be a dangerous team.

Key contributors including Reynaldo Lopez and Chris Sale have become invaluable additions once again proving GM Alex Anthopoulos to be one of the best in all of sports. Also, moving Jarred Kelenic to centerfield and the leadoff spot in the lineup has sparked the offense in ways they could not have imagined at the start of the season.

For now, it appears the team can weather the storm of losing their two stars. But one thing they will have to prove come October is if they can correct course and begin to hit once again in the playoffs. The team has been twice bested by a Philadelphia pitching staff that is as strong in 2024 as ever.
