Fans of the hit FX show The Bear will be happy to hear that their favorite TV chef will take on a new role this year ; and he's going to be showing off a talent we haven't seen before .

Jeremy Allen White has confirmed that he will be singing Bruce Springsteen's songs in an upcoming biopic about the rock legend's life .

Allen White, who plays the lead role of Carmen in The Bear, was cast as The Boss in Deliver Me from Nowhere, which will follow the story of Springsteen as he prepares to record his iconic album 1982 Nebraska.

The project was announced in March but a release date has not yet been set. However, Allen White did reveal this week that his own voice will be used in the movie. He will even attempt to sing Springsteen's songs live during filming.

When asked about the topic by Variety, he said: "We’re gonna try. We’re gonna try our best.”

The 33-year-old, whose Calvin Klein campaign went viral at the start of the year, added that he hopes to meet The Boss before production begins.

"We’ve communicated a little bit through some other people, but I hope this still all comes together," he said.

“We’ve still got a few things, we’ve got some timing stuff to work out, and I’m trying to have a bit of my own process with it before meeting the man, too. I wanna try to have an understanding, so when I meet him, I’ll have a bit of confidence somewhere in me to stand there.”

Springsteen , 74, is currently touring Europe with his E Street Band. The Born in the USA singer performed across Ireland in May , stopping in Belfast , Co Kilkenny and Cork City before rocking out with a sold-out crowd in Croke Park.

He also met with Shane MacGowan's widow during the trip and revisited some of his favorite places in Ireland , including Leo Burdock's chipper and an Irish bar.
