    Battleship Offers Tours, Fireworks Viewing Wednesday in Camden

    CAMDEN – The Battleship New Jersey, which returned to Camden from dry-dock maintenance just 12 days ago, will open for tours again on Wednesday.

    Self-guided tours cost $30 for adults, $25 for senior citizens and children age 12 and under, and $20 for veterans. Details and ticket reservations can be found on the battleship website .

    Self-guided tours begin tomorrow – available every day – from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Guided tours are also every day, starting at noon.

    The battleship staff also invited the public on Wednesday night beginning at 7 to the ship's deck to view Camden County fireworks, for a $10 donation per person. The fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. at Wiggins Park, nearby on the Camden waterfront.

    Although the ship reopens on Wednesday, the reopening ribbon cutting will be held on July 10 at noon with Camden County Commissioner Director Louis Cappelli, Mayor Victor Carstarphen, the battleship leadership and others.
