    Removing Barcode Sticker

What does goodwill products, new glassware, and mirrors all have in common? The stuck on sticky price/ barcode tags that seem to leave you with a bigger problem than if you were to just leave them on in the first place. These sort of barcode price tags seem to be held on with industrial strength super glue compounds and shred at every bit, nearly break your nail, and causes major headaches when trying to peel them off.

I’m not sure whose idea it was to create these little things but they surly won the award for making sure they stay on and attached to the products. Besides going after the cornner with your sharped finger nail or scrubbing with soap and water and a tough bristled brush, there is not much that can be done to get these tricky buggers off. All up until we saw the most genius hack shared by a fellow stuck on labe picker… and his trick is oh so smooth, check it out below!

Skip the sharp nails, the tugging, the scrubbing, and pick yourself up a roll of clear sticky packing tape. By simply pressing a sheet over the label and pulling up it lifts the label off the product. Sometimes the answers to our pains are quite simple, and oh so satisfying!

How to Get Gunk Residue Off

Great,, so now you have successfully gotten the label off in one go, but you are left with a snail trail of gooey gunk that is just waiting to pick up all the lint and fibres in its sticky trap.

Our favorite way to get it off is by using Dawn Power wash or a degreaser solution. A simple spray and scrub under warm water will usually do the trick!

For extra strong residue patches try using a product thats meant for the job like Goo Gone, a slime yellow oil that gets residue off quickly minus the endless scrubbing!
