A woman from Indonesia took the notion of facing her fears to the next level while on vacation in the Maldives.

Twenty-nine-year-old teacher Muthi Annuriy has had a lifelong fear of sharks. But during her trip, she decided to tackle her phobia head-on by swimming with 20 nurse sharks in the Indian Ocean.

A group of sharks is technically known as a shiver, and that's no doubt what the brave woman was feeling as she entered the crystal clear waters off the Maldives' coast.

Nurse sharks are not generally regarded as dangerous to humans as they're not aggressive and tend to swim on the ocean floor. But with wildlife, you just never know, and nurse sharks have been known to bite if they feel threatened or disturbed.

Fortunately, this shark encounter went off without a hitch, with Annuriy emerging to tell the tale, having faced down her worst nightmare.
