Paul Mescal seen allegedly snorting substance at Glastonbury

Paul Mescal has apparently been caught on camera seemingly indulging in a suspicious activity at the Glastonbury Festival .

The star, who has recently wowed audiences with a sneak peek of his role in Gladiator II , seemed to be thoroughly enjoying himself as he partied through the weekend amidst a sea of festival-goers. The 28-year-old actor was seen in the company of his sister Nell, Saoirse Ronan , and Andrew Scott during the festivities.

Amidst his leisure time, it's alleged that Paul was observed taking a substance from a key and bag while soaking up the live music scene.

The Irish heartthrob, who rose to international stardom for his portrayal of Connell Waldron in the acclaimed series Normal People, apparently wasn't concerned about being seen.

While engrossed in a performance by the American rock band The National, Paul, donning his trademark short shorts, seemed to let loose and was reportedly spotted using a key to extract a substance from a tiny bag. The actor, lost in the rhythm, is believed to have inhaled the substance more than once, though it is not confirmed.

"Paul looked like he used a key to scoop some substance out of a bag which he lifted to his nose and sniffed," an insider disclosed to The Sun. They continued: "He did it once then he dipped the key back into the bag and lifted it to his nose and sniffed again. Paul didn't seem to care if anyone could see him. He was dancing and laughing with his friends."

The Mirror has reached out to Paul's representatives for a statement.

Over the weekend, the actor soaked up all that the festival had to offer, including Shania Twain's performance on the Pyramid Stage in the coveted legends slot. A video of Paul uttering Shania's iconic line: "Let's go girls," whipped fans into a frenzy when it surfaced on social media.

"Love it," Shania replied, accompanied by a series of laughing emojis. Known for his penchant for shorts, the actor sported his signature look along with various shirts and tees throughout the weekend as he enjoyed the sunny spells at Worthy Farm in Somerset.

This comes as the first glimpse of Paul in his role as Roman Emperor Lucius Verus was revealed on Monday night, showcasing his chiseled physique following intense workouts for the upcoming film. "He's a very, very good general, which can mean a very good killer," he commented on his new role.
