OMAHA, Neb. (KCAU) — AAA has announced that they will be providing their Tow to Go service during the Fourth of July.

According to a release from AAA, the service will be provided to drivers in Iowa and Nebraska, along with many other states.

AAA said in their release that they are preparing to rescue an estimated 800,000 drivers during the Independence Day holiday week.

If you call AAA for their Tow to Go service, they dispatch a tow truck to take your vehicle to a safe location within 10 miles of where you need to be picked up.

“By providing this program, AAA gives drivers no excuse for driving under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or impairing medications,” said Brian Ortner, AAA – The Auto Club Group. “Please plan ahead by asking a friend to be your designated driver or use a ride-sharing service. If those plans fall through, you can call Tow to Go and AAA will arrange for a safe ride for you.”

The Tow to Go service will be available starting Wednesday at 6 p.m. and be available until 6 a.m. on Monday.

If you find yourself in a position where you need to use the Tow to Go service, you can contact AAA at 855-2-TOW-2-GO or 855-286-9246.
