Joseph Quinn Details Human Torch Preparation for Fantastic Four

Things are heating up for Joseph Quinn. The actor, who co-stars in Marvel’s upcoming Fantastic Four movie as the Human Torch, has revealed how he’s preparing for the role.

“Johnny Storm is such a treat of a character so I’m looking forward to getting in there. I’m setting myself on fire every morning, “ Quinn joked to Happy Sad Confused .

When asked how he’s going to be delivering Storm’s famous line, ‘flame on’, Quinn said he’s been practicing in front of the mirror. There has been “like one hour, probably, collectively, of ‘Flame ons.’”

Quinn seems to be adapting the same interview approach as the Fantastic Four actor who revealed how he's preparing to play The Thing .

Nonetheless, Quinn does say Marvel is genuinely “trying to do something interesting with this.” The cast even “have a group chat, so we’ve been talking on there. But a lot of it will come down to all being together. I know Pedro, and I’ve heard wonderful things about the other two.”

Then there’s John Malkovich, who’s also been confirmed for the movie, and who Quinn is excited about working with. “He’s one of my all-time favourites. I just can’t wait to watch it. I watched Dangerous Liaisons when I was very young. Not too young. But young enough. What he does in that film. And Being John Malkovich. Con Air . Burn After Reading. He’s so funny in that opening scene.”
