    Fiber internet access expanding in Hanover

    HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Hanover County has announced that access to fiber internet will be expanding across the county over the next year.

    According to the county, construction of fiber connections will begin in the western part of the county along Verdon Road and Old Ridge Road in August and home connections in those areas are expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

    Construction of fiber connections will begin in the eastern part of the county in the Cold Harbor and Old Church areas in November and home connections are expected to begin in those areas in February 2025.

    This is part of Connect Hanover, a countywide effort to improve Hanover residents’ access to high-speed internet. More information about Connect Hanover can be found here .
