PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WPRI) — Whether you’re hoping for better sidewalks or fewer potholes, the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) is seeking your opinion.

The agency launched its Safe Streets for All (SS4A) Statewide Survey on Monday.

The survey is part of RIPTA’s SS4A project , which is funded through the Federal Highway Administration’s Safe Streets and Roads for All program.

The federal program aims to improve infrastructure and prevent roadway accidents.

The survey includes both multiple choice and open-ended questions, plus a map where respondents can highlight problem areas.

“Safety is a top priority for everyone traveling in Rhode Island, and this initiative will help make walking, biking and taking transit safer for Rhode Islanders,” RIPTA’s interim CEO Christopher Durand said.

“I encourage all Rhode Islanders to participate in this survey and share their valuable feedback to help us build safer streets for everyone,” he continued.
