Got bugs or spiders in your home? Yep, a ton of us do. And most of us are looking for any way to get them OUT of said home without resorting to the worst chemicals imaginable. No one wants to breathe in harsh fumes or worry about their pets and kids getting into something they shouldn’t.
Well, did you know that a super simple Walmart find could be the answer to your pest problems? TikTok creator Samsardina recently went on about her 'miracle find' that allows her to kill and get rid of bugs with ease, and all it takes is a quick trip to town. For just $3, you can get rid of those pesky invaders once and for all!
Samsardina (and plenty of commentors) swear by this life-changing hack when it comes to getting rid of bugs. You only need a spray bottle—or at least the sprayer part—and a bottle of regular isopropyl alcohol. Just screw the sprayer onto the bottle of alcohol, and you’re ready to go.
You might be wondering if isopropyl alcohol is effective at killing bugs. The answer is a resounding yes! Isopropyl alcohol kills a range of household pests including mosquitoes, fruit flies, gnats, and more. It works by breaking down the cells of the insects, causing them to dehydrate and die. Plus, unlike traditional bug sprays , it doesn’t leave behind a nasty lingering chemical smell.
Essentially, that's it! Whenever you see a bug, give it a quick spritz with your isopropyl alcohol spray. The pest will die almost instantly, and you won’t be left with a mess to clean up. The alcohol evaporates quickly, so there's no need for wiping or scrubbing.
But wait, there’s more! One commentor also mentions that if you dilute the isopropyl alcohol 50% with water, you can spray it directly on plants without causing any damage. This diluted mix is still highly effective at killing pests but is gentle enough not to harm your greenery.
This hack truly changes the game for anyone dealing with household insects. No longer do you have to rely on expensive, chemical-laden bug sprays. Instead, for just $3, you can have a safe, effective solution that works just as well—if not better.
