Suki Waterhouse Poses With Infant Daughter on Cover of British Vogue & the Styling Was a Total Flex

The August issue of British Vogue just dropped, and the cover features a freshly postpartum Suki Waterhouse. Just 10 weeks after giving birth, Waterhouse was posing with her infant, resulting in a photo that took our breath away.

In it, the model stands outside in front of luscious greenery dressed in Dior and Charvet and she absolutely glows as she holds the greatest accessory of all — the daughter she shares with Robert Pattinson. The little girl, whose name has not been shared, is decidedly not in Dior. She’s rocking her birthday suit and a full head of light hair.

“this is gorgeous for so many reasons,” one person wrote on British Vogue’s Instagram post of the photo, and we have to agree. Especially because of how brave it is.

“The ultimate flex – wearing Dior while holding a naked baby,” another fan said. And yup! There it is! You never know what will happen with a naked baby leaning over a mama’s shoulder. And yet, Waterhouse, Dior, and the creative team behind the photoshoot decided that it was worth the risk.

Waterhouse officially announced her daughter’s birth in April, though photographers saw her and Pattinson pushing a stroller earlier in the year. The actress told British Vogue that she and the Twilight actor had been wanting to start a family. “One day we looked at each other and said, ‘Well, this is as ready as we’re going to be.’”

Looking back, Waterhouse said she wishes she hadn’t wanted to find out her child’s sex. “But I needed to prepare myself mentally,” she said before sharing that she “instantly” called her “mum in floods of tears” when she found out she was having a baby girl.

“I was like, ‘Oh, my God, am I going to have to go through what [you] went through with me?’ … I was just such a little bitch … [My mum] usually loves telling my terrible teenage stories, but she was like, ‘No, no, you were great. You were amazing, you were fine.’”

And Baby Waterhouse-Pattinson is more than just amazing and fine. She is the thing that keeps Waterhouse grounded.

“Now I have this anchor,” she says. “And I’m so happy all the time to go home and see her little gummy smile.” Plus her squishy little legs that look so cute pressed up against Dior!
