Montgomery Co. JFS to host on-site hiring event with same-day offers

DAYTON, Ohio ( WDTN ) — Montgomery County Jobs and Family Services is hosting an on-site hiring event with same-day offers.

The hiring event takes place on Thursday, July 11 in two sessions, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 2 to 5 p.m. Sessions will be held at the Job Center, located at 1111 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd.

Available positions include JFS Specialists and Economic Support Specialists (ESS).

JFS specialists are responsible for:

• Determining eligibility for programs like SNAP, Cash Assistance, Medicaid and Child Care
• Answering calls from individuals inquiring about or applying for benefits
• Conducting eligibility interviews, pulling necessary records to process cases

Economic Support Specialists (ESS):

• Primarily work in a call center setting, handling inquiries and processing benefits
• Conduct research into cases while engaging with customers
• Work in various units focusing on Medicaid and SNAP eligibility, Work Activity, Chang
