ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. (WNCT) – On Tuesday, Congressman Don Davis visited farmers facing severe drought damage in Edgecombe County to talk about federal resources available. USDA FSA State Executive Director Bob Etheridge joined him.

“Whether we’re talking through USDA systems, with crop insurance, we’re talking loans, whether we’re talking through FEMA with community resilience,” Davis said. “The spread of resources would come in and help our farmers.”

Davis said he was working with USDA and the Governor’s Office to push for an emergency declaration. Davis added he wants Congress to pass a strong bipartisan farm bill and revisions to the H-2A program.
