Bridgerton and Outlander stars get cosy backstage at Wimbldeon

Fans were delighted to see Bridgerton star Jessica Madsen and Outlander actor Sam Heughan were spotted at a tennis tournament last week.

Madsen who played Cresside Cowden on Bridgerton, tested out her tennis skills against The Gentlemen star Daniel Ings. The stars tried their hand at the sport before the ATP professionals arrived to show them how it's done. The duo were then joined by Scotsman Sam Heughan to watch the games.

The event was the 30th Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic, which draws high profile guests each year. Across the last three decades, the tournament has become one of the most intimate tennis events on the social calendar and has hosted top players like Rafael Nadal, Maria Sharapova, Andy Murray and Boris Becker.

Heughan shared pictures from the event on Instagram, where he posed on a large ‘throne’-like chair made entirely of tennis balls.

Saltburn star Richard E Grant and British and American actress Minnie Driver made an appearance, as well as Heartstopper star Yasmin Finney and some British athletes.
