Devastating New York Times Report on Biden Debate Prep Reveals He Started at 11 A.M. and NAPPED Hours Later

President Joe Biden never started his debate preparation before 11 a.m. and was always “given time for an afternoon nap each day,” according to a New York Times report on the lead-up to Biden’s disastrous debate performance last week.

“In the weeks and months before President Biden’s politically devastating performance on the debate stage in Atlanta, several current and former officials and others who encountered him behind closed doors noticed that he increasingly appeared confused or listless, or would lose the thread of conversations,” reported the New York Times on Tuesday.

Incidents reportedly included misspeaking about military aid to Ukraine, freezing up at a Juneteenth event, acting “confused” at a D-Day anniversary event in France, and even forgetting the name of his own Secretary of Homeland Security, Alejandro Mayorkas .

Biden’s age also reportedly affected his intensive debate preparation, which was cut short by two days “so he could rest” following several trips to Europe.

“Mr. Biden was drained enough from the back-to-back trips to Europe that his team cut his planned debate preparation by two days so he could rest at his house in Rehoboth Beach, Del., before joining advisers at Camp David for rehearsals,” the Times reported. “The preparations, which took place over six days, never started before 11 a.m. and Mr. Biden was given time for an afternoon nap each day, according to a person familiar with the process.”

Biden’s performance against former President Donald Trump in CNN’s first presidential debate sparked panic among Democrats and members of Biden’s inner circle, and led to several allies in the media and politics to call on Biden to drop out.

The president’s poll numbers dropped following the debate, giving Trump a wider lead, and on Monday, CNN political analyst Carl Bernstein revealed that several people “very close to” Biden had been concerned about his “cognitive decline” for more than a year.
