A man is facing possible charges after he allegedly shot at another car from a vehicle on state Route 8 in Grays Harbor County on Monday, missing the vehicle he aimed at and striking another vehicle.

No injuries were reported, but the suspect, identified by the Washington State Patrol as Bradley J. Bach, 52, of Cosmopolis, was transported to Summit Pacific Medical Center in Elma for precautionary medical treatment.

He faces a possible six counts of first-degree assault, in addition to DUI, reckless driving and drive-by shooting charges.

Bach was reportedly traveling eastbound on state Route 8 in a maroon 2010 Honda Accord when, at milepost 5, he allegedly shot at a beige 2012 Chevrolet Silverado that was also traveling eastbound, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The Chevrolet was driven by a 67-year-old Olympia woman and had no other passengers.

The shot missed the Chevrolet and struck a white 2014 Ford Escape that was also traveling eastbound.

The Ford was driven by a 33-year-old Montesano woman and had three other passengers, including two juveniles, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The driver of the Ford drove to the McCleary Police Department to contact law enforcement, which was dispatched at 10:36 a.m. on July 1, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The state patrol has determined road rage was the cause of the crash.
