Shocking Details Emerge After College Football Coach Was Placed On Administrative Leave

When individuals attempt to sweep things under the rug, everything comes to light sooner or later.

That's currently the case with the Utah State football program, which is in shambles. Head coach Blake Anderson was placed on administrative leave on Tuesday afternoon, and the alleged reason is quite disturbing.

In 2023, three Aggies were arrested for sexual assault. According to Action Network college football insider Brett McMurphy , Utah State athletic director Diana Sabau deemed Anderson "unlikely" to return, and a source told McMurphy that the findings from a recent investigation "didn't sound good."

Per ESPN college football senior writer Pete Thamel , Anderson has retained Tom Mars as his attorney following his ousting from the Aggies program. However, Mars told 247Sports national college football reporter Brandon Marcello that Utah State faces an "uphill battle" when terminating Anderson for cause.

"Like any university, Utah State could fire Blake Anderson for any reason as long as they paid his buyout," Mars stated. "However, based on the facts alleged and the language in Blake's employment agreement, USU is going to be fighting an uphill battle if they try to fire him for cause just to avoid paying Blake what he's owed. Stiffing a head coach by blaming him for what his supervisor allegedly failed to do is a novel approach that hasn't been tried before, but that theory will never hold up in court.”

In the meantime, defensive coordinator Nate Dreiling has been named Aggies interim head coach.
