    Hundreds without power in Cooper, Moniteau counties; outages restored in Macon County

    More than 580 customers remained without power Wednesday morning after storms rolled across Mid-Missouri.

    According to the Ameren outage map online, 587 customers in Cooper and Moniteau counties lost power at 11:47 p.m. on Tuesday.

    A spokesperson for Ameren confirmed this outage is storm-related and crews were working to repair power Wednesday morning.

    The map reports 256 customers without power in Moniteau County while 347 customers are in the dark in Cooper County, as of 9 a.m. Wednesday.

    The estimated time for power to be restored is 1:15 p.m., according to the Ameren outage map.

    Storms that came through Mid-Missouri starting late Tuesday led to the outages. Those storms dumped 4.28 inches of rain at Columbia's Sanborn Field after midnight.

    Boone Electric Cooperative reported on social media at 5 a.m. there were 191 members without power across the county. As of 9 a.m. all but 10 members had power restored.

    Power has also been restored for more than 130 electricity customers who lost power Tuesday evening in Macon County.

    Of the 131 outages, 124 were for Macon Electric Cooperative customers and seven were Tri-County Electric Cooperative Association customers. The outages were resolved by 10:42 p.m.

    Additionally, the outage map for the Association of Missouri Electric Cooperatives showed 122 customers were without power in Linn County and another 182 were without power in Adair County. Another 874 Ameren customers in Adair County were without power at the peak of the outage, according to Ameren’s outage map. That number was down to 298 at 9:14 p.m.

    Another 97 outages were reported in Linn County, according to the AMEC map and those were also resolved by 10:42 p.m.
