UPDATE (7/3) – The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office announced that Bohdan Hutsman has been located.

SPARTANBURG COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public help in locating a man from Ukraine who has been missing since Tuesday morning.

According to the sheriff’s office, Bohdan Hutsman, 60, was last seen at 10 a.m. leaving for a walk to Holston Creek Park in Inman and never returned.

He is described as a white male around 5-feet-6-inches tall and around 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white ball cap, blue shirt, black shorts, black socks and open-toe sandals.

Hutsman is originally from Ukraine, and has only been in the United States for a few days. He does not speak English.

His disappearance is out of character as he left his residence on good terms, and there are no indications of him being suicidal or intending to harm himself.

“His wife has reported that family and friends have conducted extensive searches in and around Holston Creek Park without any success in locating Bohdan,” the sheriff’s office said. “Additionally, the Holly Springs Fire Department and Spartanburg County Parks and Recreation division assist in the search with drones and ATVs.”

Anyone with information or who may have seen Hutsman is asked to call the sheriff’s office.
