    Court receives subsidy grants from Department of Youth Services

    NEW LEXINGTON — Perry County Probate/Juvenile Judge Luann Cooperrider has announced that her court has received additional funds from the Ohio Department of Youth Services. Judge Cooperrider has received an additional amount of $30,372.71 for a total of $309,986.26 paid to the Perry County Juvenile Court.

    The money is used to provide programs for youth and families in Perry County such as the Alpha School, counseling, U-Turn, Horse Power, drug and alcohol prevention programs and many other programs, all grant funded. Judge Cooperrider has received the funding each year as the department continues to support successful programs.
