Jung Hae-In’s Korean Movie Veteran 2 Release Date Revealed

Veteran 2, also titled I, the Executioner, is a highly anticipated sequel to the hit 2015 Korean film Veteran. The movie premiered on May 21, 2024, at the 77th Cannes Film Festival. It is all set to make its debut in theaters in South Korea very soon. CJ Entertainment, aka CJENM, will serve as the film’s distributor.

CJENM has dropped brand-new posters of Veteran 2 on Instagram. The posters feature the two lead actors of the movie, Hwang Jung-Min and Jung Hae-In. The poster has also revealed the theatrical release date of the Korean crime action film.

Jung Hae-In & Hwang Jung-Min’s Korean Movie Veteran 2: When is the release date?

As disclosed by the new posters of the movie, Veteran 2, starring Jung Hae-In and Hwang Jung-Min, will hit theaters in South Korea on Friday, September 13, 2024.

Renowned South Korean filmmaker Ryoo Seung-Wan is the director of the film, and he has co-written the script with Lee Won-Jae. He is known for his action-packed Korean movies, including The Battleship Island, Crying Fist, and Die Bad. Seung-Wan has also served as the co-producer of the soon-to-be-released film, along with Cho Sung-Min and Kang Hye-Jung.

Veteran 2 will center around the story of Seo Do-Cheol, a veteran police detective, and his team, who will end up joining forces with Park Sun-Woo, a rookie cop, to catch and take down a dangerous serial killer who has rattled the world. Thus, the audience is in for a highly thrilling sequel to Veteran.

Actor Hwang Jung-Min will play one of the lead roles, Detective Seo Do-Cheol, in the film. Meanwhile, D.P. and Snowdrop actor Jung Hae-In will portray another central character, rookie police officer Park Sun-Woo. Other supporting cast members of the movie include Oh Dal-Su as Captain Oh, Jang Yoon-Ju as Detective Bong, Oh Dae-Hwan as Detective Wang, and Kim Shi-Hoo as Detective Yoon.

Veteran 2 debuts on Friday, September 13, 2024, in theaters in South Korea.
