    Man killed in fiery Interstate 85 crash in Guilford County

    GUILFORD COUNTY, N.C. (WGHP) — State troopers have revealed the identity of the man who was killed in a fiery crash on Interstate 85 on Tuesday.

    At around 10:50 a.m. on Tuesday, state troopers came to I-85 South near NC 62 in Guilford County after getting a report of a crash.

    Investigators say that David Hollander-Urbach, 36, of Durham, was driving southbound on I-85 in a 2011 Lexus, went off the road to the left and struck a tree.

    The Lexus caught on fire as a result of the impact and Hollander-Urbach died at the scene.

    Troopers say that they are uncertain what caused Hollander-Urbach to drive off of the road.

    One lane of I-85 South was closed for three hours during the investigation.
