ANDERSON COUNTY, S.C. (WSPA) – The Anderson County Coroner’s Office said the agency responded to two fatal head-on crashes early Wednesday morning.

Investigators said both crashes occurred around 5 a.m.

The first incident occurred at East Greenville Street near McLees Road.

The coroner said 22-year-old Quintarius Tyshaun Holloway, of Anderson, was traveling at a high rate of speed when he crossed the median and collided with a work van head-on.

Holloway died at the scene according to officials.

His death has been ruled accidental.

The coroner’s office said the second incident happened when a motorcyclist traveling west on Brown Road collided with an SUV turning from Twin Lakes Drive.

Officials identified the motorcyclist as 43-year-old Nicholas Brett Dowis, of Anderson. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Investigators said the incident is the seventh reported motorcycle crash in Anderson County this year.

The crashes remain under investigation by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office and South Carolina Highway Patrol
