    Foundation grants $12,000 to city, county teachers

    The Loudon County Education Foundation has announced the 12 recipients of the 2024-2025 school year Great Idea! Grants. The nonprofit organization gave away $12,000 to support more than 3,205 students.

    According to a press release sent out by LCEF Executive Director Michele Lewis, The Great Idea! Grants are supported by individual and business contributions, funds raised in the community through special events by the Foundation, and funds contributed from the Johnson Family Foundation. This annual grant cycle provides teachers with funds for classroom projects to engage and excite students in the learning process.
