Indiana Fever rookie Caitlin Clark was named to the 2024 WNBA All-Star game Tuesday night prior to the start of her matchup in the desert against A'ja Wilson and the Las Vegas Aces.

Clark will be joined by two teammates – Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell – in the All-Star game.

After the 88-69 loss to Las Vegas, Clark's teammate NaLyssa Smith, a forward out of Baylor, showed nothing but support to the three Fever players who were voted into the game. The former No. 2 overall pick in the 2022 WNBA draft took to her Instagram story to show some love to Clark, Boston and Mitchell, even dishing out some new nicknames.

For Mitchell, Smith stated, "No one more deserving"

Boston received a nickname of her own, as Smith wrote, "BIG BOSTONNNN we already knew this"

And lastly, Clark received a simple nickname of her own: "caityyy girllll"

Despite losing to the Aces, Clark had a standout night. She received 700,735 fan votes , leading the WNBA for the All-Star game. Additionally, she made history by tying Sue Bird for the most double-doubles (points and assists) by a rookie in league history, with three.

Clark averages 16 points, 5.7 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game this season as the Fever sit at 8-13.

Clark was always a sure thing to make the big game given her popularity and contributions to the league. But her rookie season has not been terribly easy, as Clark struggled early on before turning it on in June.
