State Council at Rock Eagle 4-H Center.
State Council is a state-wide event designed for 9 th – 12 th grade 4-H’ers to experience belonging to a group of peers, having an opportunity to demonstrate generosity through
service projects, master subject matter through classes and learn about the possibilities available through Georgia 4-H.
The weekend long trip included workshops with a focus on what it takes to be a good citizen, followed by the annual Sunday morning citizenship ceremony. Senior 4-H’er
Brianna Mauldin competed in the Dairy Food Lab state competition, the results will be announced during 4-H State Congress held in Atlanta July 23 – July 26.

The 4-H annual Iron Clover district challenges were also part of the weekend where 4-H’ers competed in events such as kickball, volleyball, rope pull, trivia bowl, and even a
watermelon eating contest. Southwest District is proud to say they won the Iron Clover bragging rights two years in a row! 4-H’ers enjoyed a performance by the Georgia 4-H
Performing arts group; Clovers & Company. Crisp County 4-H’er Sophie Dowdy is a member of this talented group of young people. 4-H’ers also spent time having fun, meeting new people
and making new friends from across Georgia.
