Katie Maloney Cannot Forgive Lala Kent After Pump Rules Reunion: ‘Trust Is the Most Important Thing’

Katie Maloney was one of the few Vanderpump Rules stars who ended the Season 11 reunion on the right side of history. Lala Kent and Scheana Shay may have stabbed Ariana Madix in the back, but Katie is a girl’s girl through and through. Katie stuck behind Ariana no matter what, which is pretty easy to do considering her position in the Scandoval of it all.

Katie and Lala were having problems well before the Pump Rules reunion. The writing was on the wall for their friendship to crumble, and the reunion seemed like the end of it. Now that we’re in between seasons, Katie is reflecting on everything that went down during the reunion. Plus, she’s updating fans on the status of her relationship, or lack thereof, with Lala.

Katie is done with Lala

Katie recently appeared on the Not Skinny but Not Fat podcast to unpack Season 11 of VPR. She confirmed that she hasn’t spoken to Lala since filming the reunion. “Obviously, she had been harboring certain feelings and thinking certain things that I didn’t know she had felt,” Katie said of Lala’s performance. “And so she was saving them for the reunion, which I didn’t feel like was super authentic.” Lala is the queen of calling people out for supposed inauthenticity, so that’s got to sting.

In general, Katie doesn’t see a future for repairing her friendship with Lala. “Once you violate my trust like that, it’s very hard to come back from. Trust is the most important thing to me,” Katie explained. She added that she feels like she’s allowed to have conversations with her friends that aren’t for the cameras, but Lala weaponized that against her to further her point on the show. So as for the current status of the friendships on VPR ? Still an absolute mess.
