WWE Women’s Champion Liv Morgan channels comic book legends to further her mission on Dom Mysterio

Though it’s the premium live event for NXT this weekend labeled “Heatwave”, you could justifiably have used that name to describe what’s happening on a weekly basis between Liv Morgan and “Dirty” a.k.a. “Daddy” Dominik Mysterio, even if it’s only a one-sided affair — at least for now, it is.

Not long ago, it was Zelina Vega drop kicking the WWE Women’s Champion in the back at ringside and sending her onto Mysterio, straddling him in the process. On this past Monday, it was the other way around, when Rey Mysterio kicked his son in the back, sending him flying into Morgan (who was interfering with the match).

WATCH: LIV MORGAN, DOM RATCHET UP THE HEAT.

And Dom found himself assuming the same position.

Of course, Morgan shrugged off the fact she had to literally hold him down to prevent his efforts to escape the ohhhhh so terrible situation, taking to social media to declare her winning efforts in trying to peel Dom away from Rhea Ripley.

“I think he’s coming around,” she wrote, with a heart-eyed emoji attached and a side-by-side of Batman straddling Catwoman — two arch enemies who became lovers after she eventually wore down the Caped Crusader.

    Well played, madam.

    Selina Kyle would be proud.

And maybe Dom is wearing down, or maybe he was, until what happened next on Monday..

Morgan’s interference in The Judgment Day’s matches as of late definitely caused the WWE Tag Team Championships to return to the faction via Finn Balor and J.D. McDonough, leading to them openly welcoming her into their locker room, to the chagrin of WWE Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest, but things went awry when it was Dom’s turn to fight.

He’d lose in singles competition to his “deadbeat dad”, who he hates with every ounce of his being, because of Morgan. Afterwards, she was seen pleading for forgiveness and claiming she’d “make it up” to him.

With Money in the Bank going live in Toronto on Saturday, we might all just find out exactly what she means to do to put her plan back on track.
