Former NFL, Raiders RB is starting a new podcast with unlikely co-host

Former Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch is dipping his toe into the podcast pool and one of the people he is set to co-host the new show with isn't someone you would expect.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter , Lynch's new podcast is titled "Politickin'" and he will co-host with agent Doug Hendrickson and Governor of California, Gavin Newsom. The show will be available on iHeartPodcasts.

Newsom and Hendrickson have been friends since the 90s, Schefter adds, and the agent also represented Lynch. The trio has been working on the podcast for the last six months. You can check out a one-minute introduction of the show right here .

Former players usually start podcasts with other former players, so this is an unlikely pairing to say the least. It'll be fascinating to hear a character like Lynch talk shop with a politician.

A California native, Lynch was very active in his community during his NFL career, and that hasn't changed in his post-playing days.

Lynch spent two seasons with the Raiders after coming out of retirement. He also had stints with the Buffalo Bills and Seattle Seahawks, where he won a Super Bowl.
