Clever Siberian Cat Pretends To 'Act Innocent' to Get a Treat

Dogs are better known for doing tricks than cats are, but that doesn't mean that there aren't cats out there who can be trained to do seriously impressive stuff. After all, no one should ever underestimate exactly how far a cat is willing to go for a treat — even the rowdiest cats. It might take a little extra work, but it's cool to see what they can do. And even if they're not trying to pull off a trick you taught them, some of them have learned exactly how they need to act in order to get the snacks they want.

Case in point: The sweet kitty in this TikTok video. He looks so beautiful and harmless here, but according to his mom, it's all a front!

Everyone, meet Nimbus, a Siberian cat who isn't as chill as he seems! According to what his mom shared in a video posted recently, he's only acting innocent because he wants a treat — this isn't his real personality.

Yet here he sits so peacefully on the toilet seat, acting totally calm and well mannered as his mom asks him if he wants a treat. Look at those gorgeous eyes! This kitty knows how to work his angles.

Every time she speaks to him, he lets out a little meow, pretending to chew the treat he's already dreaming about receiving for pretending to be so innocent. Who could ever deny this sweet baby a single snack?! Not me!

Commenters believe that Nimbus has done his duty and has earned that treat. "So I’ve been watching this for half an hour now and Nimbus still has no treat. Justice for Nimbus!" one person wrote.

Nimbus' Real Personality

Now that we know Nimbus is only pretending when it comes to this sweet personality, what is he really like?

Uh, he's an absolute troublemaker, though that hasn't scared more than 2.4 million people on TikTok from following his every move on the app. While he was being still and calm and quiet in this video, he's best known for having zoomies all over the house. He also growls quite a bit; he's really not the kind of kitty you'd ever want to cross.

He also tends to get himself into scrapes. This video explains some of his most hall of fame-worthy incidents, like falling into the toilet and falling into the pool while in pursuit of a squirrel and getting a toenail infection in the process. That must have been rough!
