Woman killed in Elliott County crash

ELLIOTT COUNTY, KY (WOWK) – A woman has died after a vehicle crash in Elliot County.

According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened on KY 504 on Tuesday. Troopers say only one vehicle was involved.

Kentucky State Police say the vehicle, a Chevy Tahoe, was heading west when the driver lost control and struck an embankment. The vehicle then partially overturned onto its side.

According to KSP, the driver, identified as Heather McClurg, 36, of Olive Hill, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation by KSP. The Elliott County Coroner Mark Lewis’ office and Elliott County Fire and Rescue also responded to the scene.
