‘Absolutely’: House Republican Agrees With Fox News Host They Need a Committee Investigating Biden’s Health

Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) agreed during a Wednesday appearance on Fox News that “absolutely” there should be a committee investigating the health of President Joe Biden following his performance at CNN’s debate .
During an appearance on Outnumbered , former Donald Trump press secretary Kayleigh McEnany asked Donalds if Biden aides should be subpoenaed to testify before a congressional subcommittee on the health of the 81-year-old president (Trump is 78) amid some calls to replace him following the debate.
“Should there be a select committee on The Hill about Biden’s mental state? This has national security implications for the world if he’s not with it! Should former aides be brought before Congress or subpoenaed, if necessary?” McEnany asked Donalds.
McEnany argued the committee should go all the way back to Biden’s behavior during the withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2021 in which 13 service members were killed .
The Republican lawmaker argued there is no “clear chain of command” on issues like the southern border because it’s not “apparent” that Biden is leading. He also said he “absolutely” agrees there should be a House investigation, saying Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) “won’t do anything.”
“Absolutely because foreign policy is a major issue that the country is facing and we have two major conflicts in the world, one in Ukraine and one with our ally Israel,” Donalds said. “Joe Biden and his administration have been in the middle of all of this. What has the president been doing or better yet, what has he not been doing that could have either averted these conflicts altogether or saved the American taxpayer money or prevent us from being dragged into these conflicts to a deeper degree?”
