ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A man is accused of gunning down another man outside a Riverview convenience store for allegedly trying to attack his friend’s mother days prior.

According to the St. Louis County Police Department’s probable cause statement, the shooting happened around 7 p.m. on February 15 in the 200 block of Chambers Road .

Police said Brandyn Hargrove, 20, was a passenger in a car that pulled into the parking lot of Go Go Mini Mart. The driver’s mother was in the backseat.

As the vehicle pulled into the parking lot, the driver’s mother pointed to another car belonging to James Teague Jr., who allegedly attempted to assault the mother. Police said Hargrove responded by saying, “I’ll take care of this.”

Police said the driver and the driver’s mother both identified Hargrove as the shooter.
