Lainey Wilson Releases Retro New Music Video For Rockin’ Road Anthem, “Hang Tight Honey”

She does it again. This afternoon, Lainey Wilson released a new music video for her song "Hang Tight Honey," which was directed by Dano Cerny and is rooted in the spirit of hardworking women, empowerment, and the resilience needed to stay grounded and push forward at the same time. It finds Lainey out on the road doing what she loves, while missing someone special back home, and trying to strike that elusive balance between work and family, essentially. She’s been having fun playing one night stands to fans who know how to get “straight up sideways,” but knowing that she’ll be back in their arms soon ultimately keeps her going and singing songs about them on stage. Written by Lainey along with Driver Williams (you might recognize that name as he’s Eric Church’s longtime guitarist), Jason Nix and Paul Sikes, the song is totally Lainey in terms of the vintage, rock and roll production reminiscent of the Rolling Stones and other classic rock bands from the 70’s, as well as some 60's funk sound too. So naturally, the video is super retro and full of vintage visuals that I absolutely love, and in addition to this one, Lainey will release another video for "4x4xU" tomorrow too. She says they're so deeply intertwined and connected that it just felt right to release them this way, as a pair: "'Hang Tight Honey' the official music video is out now.
