Nike Air Force 1 Low “NY vs. NY” Release Date Revealed

Only the second in Michael Jordan’s signature shoe series to be designed by the legendary Tinker Hatfield, the Air Jordan 4 entered into the cultural vernacular in 1989 and has since become a favorite of shoeheads and casual collectors alike. Following the rather clean design of the Air Jordan 3, the 4s featured arguably the most distinct style cues of any shoe that had ever hit the market, including the uniquely large over-molded mesh panel on the tops and sides, the plastic wings attached to the laces, and the plastic eyeleted wings near the ankle. With an ‘80s-inspired aesthetic, Nike has debuted the “Oxidized Green” colorway of the Air Jordan 4 Retro, featuring some throwback touches.

Nike has revealed that their initiatives surrounding their auto-lacing Adapt tech has come to an end. In a public notice posted on their FAQ pages, Nike states that they “are no longer creating new versions of Adapt shoes” and that the companion App that launched in 2019 alongside the Adapt BB would be removed from the iOS and Android App marketplace.
