ALACHUA, Fla. – There is currently a large Florida Department of Law Enforcement presence at the downtown Alachua offices of Boukari Law and Alachua County Today. Access to the building is blocked by crime scene tape, and officers are standing outside the building.

An FDLE van is at the scene, and an Alachua County Sheriff’s vehicle is on scene to provide assistance.

The building at 14804 Main Street in Alachua is owned by Alachua Today Inc., which is owned by Ellen Boukari and Habib Boukari. Bryan Boukari’s law practice, Boukari Law, is also housed in the building, as is the newspaper Alachua County Today .

FDLE officers at the scene declined to comment. Alachua County Sheriff’s Office said FDLE requested assistance with an investigation. Bryan Boukari and Ellen Boukari did not immediately respond to our requests for comment, but we will update this article if we receive responses.
