Paris Olympics 2024: Men's tennis events and schedule

Men's tennis is back at the Summer Olympics , with the event set to be played on clay at Roland-Garros. Tennis was part of the first seven modern Olympiads but was dropped for 64 years before being restored to the schedule in 1988.

Both the men's and women's singles competitions will involve 64 players, and the winners will have to emerge triumphant in six straight matches to take their place atop the podium in Paris.

2020 singles gold medalist Alexander Zverev (Germany) will be back looking to defend his crown, as will doubles champions Mate Pavić and Nikola Mektić of Croatia. Current world No. 1 Jannik Sinner will represent Italy in both the singles and doubles competitions.

Two-time gold medal winner Rafael Nadal, an unsurpassed legend on clay, will be looking to claim one more big tournament in what is likely his final season before retirement. Nadal will play for Spain in both the singles and doubles competitions, where he will partner world No. 3 Carlos Alcaraz.
